About Him
I'm patient to a fault, calm, accommodating of others, adaptable, respectful, introspective, a good listener, and capable of saying "I'm sorry" when I'm wrong. I love reading, hiking, snorkeling (especially in tropical seas), visiting museums, movies, shopping (you read that right, shopping!), nice restaurants as well as dives, or just hanging out. Regarding food, I'm a straightforward omnivore. I take instructions in the kitchen very well, and I'm a skilled dishwasher and cooking. I admit to having a geeky nerdy side, but that dimension is easily mediated by impromptu silliness or prim and proper presence. I can be a bit shy initially, albeit I have no problem giving a lecture to an international crowd who'll no doubt disagree with what I say (I love healthy disagreement!). I'm a big fan of both dogs and cats (as well as just about any other sorts of pets). I have no allergy or neurotic issues. Career wise, I am an Entrepreneur and the latter has been a great deal of fun, especially for keeping us science folk on the straight and narrow. I do a lot of research and occasional teaching.
