About Her
As a SA "swallow" I usually return with the other winged migrators towards the end of the northern hemisphere summer. This time around I will be here for the UK winter.
This way of life I hope will become my norm, till I decide where home really is.
South Africa and the UK are deeply embedded in my soul.
I love exploring off the beaten track here, South Africa or Europe...but for now ..
Home is South Africa. Country living is my reality....not just a distant dream.
I am as happy "slumming it" in a tent under the trillion stars as I am comfortable enjoying a 5* hotel or home environment.
Frolicking in streams after the rain, climbing to the top of a koppie/little mountain to see whats on the other side or just sitting on the front stoep/veranda doing nothing but watching the world go by, are my idea of relaxation.
Daily shopping expeditions to the local shopping mall holds little attraction, apart from the essentials in life...but I certainly appreciate the finer things in life.
I take pleasure in rummaging around in junk shops and giving new life to someones elses cast-offs.
My passion in the past, in South Africa, has been travel and restoring old cottages to their former glory.
Perhaps I will do the same in some yet to be found paradise too, in the future. But preferably not on my own.
My needs are simple ....love, mutual respect , honesty and similar interests, good conversation and financial stability....and the necessary chemistry all help to make a relationship grow or flourish.
I have few expectations, but I will not settle for the crumbs under the table of life.
I believe in old fashioned values.
I am... a not too ordinary a person... enjoying an extra-ordinary lifestyle... looking for someone special to share all this...or even to share a similar lifestyle elsewhere.
Someone who wishes to share the freedom of country life whether it be here in the UK or back in South Africa.

A reasonably outgoing man who is comfortable with his own company, but enjoys the (not always quiet )company of a compatible companion/soulmate.
A man who is willing to travel with the seasons...for a few years at least...or happy with the concept of a swallow lifestyle.

An appreciation of magnificent scenery, old architecture and our wonderful off the beaten track villages...especially those not yet discovered by corporate estate agents....
